services
For the past ten years, I have had the pleasure of working with many different clients. Just as their hopes and goals have varied, so have their individual journeys. I have found immense joy in my work, supporting clients through the hardships and triumphs that life constantly presents. My professional background has also afforded me the opportunity to work in a variety of different therapeutic settings including home support, community mental health, and school-based therapy. I equally enjoy connecting with clients who are seeking guidance and support as they navigate the ups and downs of life, as well as those who are hoping to manage a chronic diagnosis more successfully. No matter your personal goal, I will collaborate with you and help you create the positive change you are seeking for your life.
Adult THERAPy
Life's storms come to each of us. We can feel overwhelmed, weary, anxious, alone, or stuck. Change, pain, and loss occur, as well as events that can cause deep trauma. Sometimes, even the mundane day-to-day aspects of life can take a toll and stress can run what was once our life. I am here to help guide you to reach your full potential.
Whether this potential means engaging more effectively in meaningful relationships, feeling in control of your negative thoughts and behaviors, increasing your own self-compassion and self-worth, or more being more involved in the things you enjoy… you deserve these things!
Adolescent Therapy
What a challenging yet pivotal time in a person’s life. This developmental period is a passion of mine, as I love to assist individuals in discovering their true selves. It is important for me to help teens develop self-advocacy and assertiveness skills that they can carry throughout the rest of their journey.
When working with teens, I highlight a strength-based approach to assist them in learning their own strengths in order for them to accept, and potentially even find value in, their areas of weakness/growth. When working together, I want to help the teen shift from survival to thriving in this colorful and exciting part of their lives.
start where you are. use what you have. do what you can.
Perinatal Therapy
Loss, pregnancy, and parenthood can be a very challenging and overwhelming time in one’s life that brings up many emotions. Being pregnant and giving birth to a child is often thought of as a joyous occasion, however, for many women this time period is met with distress starting with pre-conception.
While it is common to feel mild mood changes during or after the birth of a child, 15-20% of women experience more significant symptoms of depression and anxiety. If this is something you feel you are going through, please know that you are not alone, you are not to blame and with the right support you can and will feel better. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are very common and treatable.
